Adoptive Parents

"Special Angels means a lot to our family."
Are you a loving family that is interested in adopting a child with special needs?
If you said yes, then this is the place for you!

As adoptive parents ourselves, the staff at Special Angels can testify that these children are unique, wonderful, and rewarding additions to our families. We would love to share our joy with you!

When agencies or expectant families contact us about a potential adoption situation, we contact our database of hopeful adoptive families (Registered Families). If a hopeful adoptive family is interested, they can request to be presented for consideration by the expectant family. In addition to our database, you can choose to be featured on our website. The families featured on our website can be found here

To become a Registered Family:
  • You must be home study approved to adopt children with special needs. If you are not sure whether you are approved to adopt a child with special needs, reach out directly to the social worker or agency that completed your home study. Special Angels must receive a copy of your home study directly from your social worker. If you do not have a home study, more information about the process can be found here.
  • You must be have a basic knowledge about the special needs of the children for whom you request to be considered once registered. These needs may include: genetic conditions, visual or hearing impairment, limb differences, feeding/eating difficulties (including feeding tube dependence), respiratory difficulties (including tracheostomy/ventilator dependence), mobility impairments, developmental delays, prematurity, speech delays or impairments, in-utero substance exposure, cleft lip/palate, brain malformation, seizures, etc.
  • You must have a family profile in PDF format. These are used to show our partner adoption agencies or expectant families more about your family. We can provide guidance on how to make a profile for free. There are also companies that offer this service for a fee.
Vaccination Disclaimer: Please understand that if you are placed with a child that Special Angels Adoption has custody of, you will be required to vaccinate this child (with only medical and religious exceptions) until finalization.
